Sunset Boulevard is the first stop and the last stop for a lot of guests at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's the perfect way to start and end the day.
Attractions:
This is the place for thrill seekers! Sunset Boulevard is the home of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. The music just adds to the experience. Here you’ll also find the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, a ride that is considered by some to be the best thrill ride on the planet. If you’re not into thrills (or need a way to slow down your heartbeat) make sure you stop by “Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage.” It’s a Broadway style musical that features some of the best scenes from the movie. Finally, if you can see only one show in all of WDW, make sure it’s Fantasmic. It’s beyond words; it’s quite simply the most incredible fireworks and laser show that you will ever see. It’s Disney at its best. Make sure you arrive early to claim your seat. Ask any cast member for a time recommendation since they all love to talk about Fantasmic.
Dining:
Sunset Boulevard is a great stop for a quick meal. Several food service places are grouped together to form Sunset Ranch Market. Anaheim Produce has a healthy selection of snacks. Fairfax Fries serves MacDonald’s French fries. Catalina Eddie’s is the place for pizza. Rosie’s All Star American Cafe offers chicken strips, hamburgers and veggie burgers. Hollywood Scoops has ice cream. Toluca Legs Turkey Company’s name tells you what they serve.
Shopping:
After riding the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror stop by Tower Shops for proof that you did it. You can purchase a ride photo and other Tower of Terror themed merchandise. Rock Around the Shop carries Aerosmith and other rock and roll products. Fantasmic and Disney villain goods are found at Beverly Sunset. L.A. Cinema Storage includes a Mr. Potato Head Creation Station and a lot of items for the kids. Winnie-the-Pooh and friends are featured at Legends of Hollywood. Planet Hollywood Superstore has celebrity-themed merchandise.
With some of the best rides and shows that Walt Disney World has to offer, it’s no wonder that crowds line up to head to Sunset Boulevard first thing every morning. A word of advice, take advantage of FASTPASS. That way you’ll be able to plan your time and take advantage of all that this area of DHS has to offer.
